Terms of Business

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms of Business set out the agreement between Snag Elite Limited ("we", "our", "us") and the client ("you", "your") for the provision of professional new house snagging survey services.

1.2 By booking a survey with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Business.

1.3 Snag Elite Limited, a company registered in England & Wales, our company registration number is 16400646 and our registered office is Piccadilly Business Centre, Unit C, Blackett Street, Manchester M12 6AE.

2. Services Provided

2.1 We provide professional snagging inspections of newly built residential properties to identify defects, workmanship issues, and deviations from industry standards; specifically, the New House Building Council (NHBC).

2.2 Our reports are based on a non-intrusive, visual inspection only.

2.3 We do not conduct structural surveys, gas or electrical testing, or other specialist assessments beyond a visual inspection.

2.4 Our service includes roof inspections using a drone to take photographs, subject to weather and access conditions.

3. Booking & Payment

3.1 Bookings can be made via our website or you can request a payment link by email or text message, appointments are subject to availability.

3.2 Full payment is required prior to the scheduled inspection; unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.3 Pricing is detailed on our website and can be viewed at time of requesting an appointment.

3.4 Any property with more than 5 bedrooms or apartments will require a bespoke quotation, price on application via our website.

3.5 Payments can be made via bank transfer, debit/credit card, or other accepted methods listed on our website.

4. Client Responsibilities

4.1 You must ensure we have access to the property at the agreed time and date.

4.2 Any delays or cancellations caused by lack of access may incur additional fees.

4.3 You are responsible for ensuring the property is ready for inspection, including providing any relevant documentation or prior reports.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

5.1 If you need to cancel or reschedule, at least 48 hours' notice is required to avoid a cancellation fee.

5.2 Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a fee of up to 50% of the survey cost.

5.3 We reserve the right to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather conditions or illness.

6. Inspection & Reporting

6.1 Our reports will be provided within a specified timeframe, typically within two working days after the inspection.

6.2 Reports are delivered electronically by pdf attached to an email, unless otherwise requested.

6.3 While we aim to identify all reasonable issues, our inspections are visual and do not guarantee the identification of all defects.

7. Liability & Limitations

7.1 Our liability is limited to the fee paid for the service.

7.2 We shall not be liable for any consequential loss, damages, or costs arising from our report or recommendations.

7.3 Our services do not replace any statutory warranties or guarantees provided by the builder or developer.

8. Data Protection & Privacy

8.1 We will collect and process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR laws.

8.2 Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

9.1 These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

9.2 In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through negotiation before pursuing legal action.

10. Amendments

10.1 We reserve the right to update these Terms of Business at any time.
